Add New Category
When adding a new category to the site log in to the CMS and from the Dashboard go to the “Categories” section and click on the “Ad New Record” button.
The add category page opens to display the “simple to use” system for adding categories to your site. The category pagel is similar to the “add” or “edit” article page with all of the same functions and options however, you will only need to use a few of them.
Site Drop Down Menu
This option is going to select the website where the category would be added. This option is useful when administering many websites with the same CMS.
Show on Top
By checking this option the new category would be added in the top main menu. Must be careful to not add more items that can fit on the menu or the design would be ruined.
Show on Homepage
By checking this option the new category would be added in the main index page of the website. Must be careful to not add more items that can fit on the page or the design would be ruined.
Order
By inserting a number in this area it would setup the order of the category boxes on the main index page. The no. 1 it would be always on top.
Articles
This option it would allow setting up the number of articles to be shown on the main index page.
Not Older Then
This option would select how old an article can be before removed from the main index page. checking this option the new category would be added in the top main menu. Must be careful to not add more items that can fit on the menu or the design would be ruined.
Menu Order
By inserting a number in this area it would setup the order of the categories in the main menu bar. The no. 1 it would be always first.
